For event organizers, before the call goes public
CFP BlueprintA call for papers is a promise to strangers.
Enter your dates, formats, criteria and speaker perks. Free in your browser: the CFP timeline checked against speakers' travel reality, the formats matched to your program structure, a form that separates the abstract from "why me", the review posture and how to publish it, your criteria against the six community-call points, and only the perks your budget has confirmed. A run writes the design brief, or the call itself.

How it works
Speakers need four to six weeks to arrange travel or time off, so a call stays open for at least a month, closes at least six to eight weeks before the event, and leaves two weeks to review. Below that floor the open call is deleted, not squeezed - the program goes invited. A first edition, international speakers or a mentor pool earn a long window, at the cost of promoting the call for months. The call offers exactly the formats the program structure chose, each with its own form, and the form keeps a short abstract apart from "why me" so reviewers can score topic and speaker fit separately.
The criteria go in the call itself - at a community event, starting with the one non-negotiable: no sponsor can buy a speaking slot. Blind review is only real when the call says when names come back. And the call states exactly what speakers get - at least a free ticket - and nothing the budget has not confirmed.
